I have went through many hoses in my day, and this is by far the best I have ever used.This puts my Neverkink hose to shame and the Neverkink is a pretty good hose.I have had my Gilmour hose for a few years now and it shows no signs of stopping.It is almost completely kink free.It got pinched just right one time and kinked on me but that was with the water off.With the water on, it has never kinked one time.

It is reasonably flexible in cold weather. I left mine out all winter in freezing weather and it still worked fine in the Spring.

The only drawback of this hose is that it is thicker than a normal hose, and you will have to buy a bigger hose reel than you might think.I have my 100' hose on a 175' reel and there isn't a whole lot of room left.I'd say you would need at least a 150' hose reel for this hose.

The durability and kink resistance make this worth the price.This hose will save you a lot of time and hassle, and the warranty is unbeatable.

Waterworks Boat And Camper Hose Review

This hose kinks quite easily and stands out in my yard (bright white for boats), but it's solid and does NOT contain lead so I can deal with those small problems.

Most of the hoses on the market contain lead and actually give warning on the label not to use for drinking, pools, gardens, or playing in (spinkler fun or whatever). Believe it or not, the tell you to wash your hans after using the hose. This hose is food grade and one of the few hoses recommended by the FDA.

This is a beast of a hose, as you know, which is why you're looking at a 1 inch hose. Please note that it's difficult to find quality nozzles that aren't a complete rip off or aren't adjustable, but I bought this hose on Amazon and am very happy with it. Apex 8885-50 NeverKink 5/8-Inch-by-50-Foot Commercial Duty Hose Review

I got this hose was a little scared because of the negative reviews I was seeing. My experience is that the hose is MUCH better at not kinking compare to my Flexogen (expensive) hose. The Flexogen was almost unuseable in my backyard 3 to 4 kinks constantly and losing water pressure all the time. This Teknor has in 5 days of watering only mildly kinked once and when it did, a shake of the hose freed up the kink. The flexogen I would have to actually pickup the kink and straighten it; with the Teknor just a simple flick of the hose while still watering was enough to fix it. Huge Improvement! I give it 4 stars because it can still kink so Neverkink is a misleading name but works so much better its really more of a 5.

GT MTL Bubbler Review

Apparently the new bubblers are not as well made as the older ones.I purchased two of these recently.The hose attachment on one of my new bubblers came loose from the body within a few days of use.The other one appears to be suffering the same fate.

Professional Soaker Hose - 50 Foot Length Review

I paid $50 for this while competing products were $20-$30 because I was hoping that it would be longer lasting than typical soaker hoses.It was indeed thick--so much so that it was very difficult to bend.This made putting it in difficult, but with enough massaging I got it into place.I turned it on, and water poured out of the joint nearest the hose bib.This wasn't just a leak--the joint didn't seem to contain any water at all.I was kind of frustrated because it was clear that there was a major gap in quality control, but I was pleased when I contacted the maker (Rittenhouse) and they offered to send a do-it-yourself replacement joint (though only after making it clear that they thought it was not their responsibility).When the new joint arrived, I realized that the new joint was non-rotating, which would make it difficult to screw the hose into the hose bib.I hooked it up, re-bent the hose so it would lie nicely in the garden, and turned it on again.This time, the new joint held, but now water could reach the other (closed) end, where it again poured out as if there was nothing holding it back at all.I tried 4 times to contact the company again, and they did not respond.I finally gave up and threw the hose away.I paid a significant premium for this hose in hopes that it would be well-manufactured (it is made in Canada).However, it turned out to be complete junk, and the customer service was unwilling to fix it.I suggest staying far away from this product and others by Rittenhouse.

Andrews Sprinkler Hose Review

I have used this product before, and can never find it at my local nurseries. It is extremely flexible, and easy to use. The features I enjoy best are that you can change the length of the soaker by removing the end, and putting it wherever you want. Also, you can remove the hose connector, and replace it as well. So, if your soaker develops a leak, you cut it off, and can use the remainder. Try that with another product! I recommend these soakers/sprinklers to anyone who needs fast, adaptable irrigation. I leave them sitting in my beds for use throughout the season.

Garden Hose Self Coiling Review

Super disappointed. It is made the cheapest material possible and feels like it will break whenever you touch any of the parts. I connected it to two different spigots and it wasn't strong enough to take the the force of the water most of the water dripped out though the side and did'nt even reach the end of the hose. What a piece of junk. Avoid like the plague.

EPDM Rubber Garden / Contractor's Water Hose, 5/8" x 100' Review

The fitting leaked on the reinforced end, on the hose side. We purchased this hose for our business since common garden hoses do not survive the
heavy use. A water pressure of around 150psi and a temperature 160F is what
we expose it to. This product looked great in the description and prior to installation. I cannot comment on the performance as ours was defective and could not be used. It could be that such defects are very rare, or it could be that it is a design or manufacturing flaw that may or may not appear immediately.
If any others have experience with this hose, please comment.

PRI Industries that sold us the defective hose offered to have it picked up so they can send it to the manufacturer for warranty inspection.
Unfortunately we cannot wait for this procedure as it is likely to take about a month or so. We ordered another hose from Grainger for about $16.00 more, and to make up for lost time we will pick it up ourselves.
We will attempt to obtain a credit since a replacement will result in our purchasing two hoses when we only need one.

Armadillo Water Hose, Garden, 6 Ft Review

Finding quality garden hoses has been a challenge for me.We have a couple of high-quality rubber 25' and 50' foot hoses, but wanted a 5-6' extension hose so that water from the yard faucet on the side of the house was splashing down near the foundation.

However, every "extension hose" (i.e., 10' or less) I found were cheap: usually made of vinyl, and would kink almost automatically.What I wanted was something that would last through this summer, and for at least several summers to come.

When I came across the 6' Armadillo hose, I was hesitant to buy it.I don't really need a reinforced metal hose that's chew-proof, or would be good in over 120-degree heat.(Heaven forbid we get that in Seattle!)But it did look sturdy, so I decided to buy one and see what it was like.

In short, it's excellent.Besides being sturdy (I expect to have this extension hose working for at least 10 years), it's extremely flexible, easy to grasp.More importantly, it has the *best* connectors I've ever encountered in a hose.No leaking whatsoever -- and with soaker hoses connected to it, that's been a problem even with our quality rubber hoses.

(Minor note: the connector comes with a rubber O-ring; you'll need to push it in to more firmly seat it before it will work without leaking.)

We are *very* satisfied with this hose.We don't have a need for a longer hose where we live, but I plan to buy a couple more of these 6' Armadillo hoses for the other faucets we have in our yard.

Swan 150-Foot Hose Reel Hose SNHR58150 Review

It may be long, but it's a very lightweight, cheap hose that kinks easily (in fact, the inside coils were already very kinked upon arrival). This is they type of hose everyone had in the 70s--I'd be surprised if it would last a season of heavy use, and I can't imagine it not cracking over winter (even empty).

For comparison, it's like the cheapest hose you can buy at the grocery or hardware store, very thin foldy. If you've bought a new hose in the last decade, this will disappoint you. If I had paid $25 instead of $65, I'd probably just suck it up and use it, knowing I'd have to replace it next year.

But at this price, you'll be much happier buying two shorter, better quality hoses and connecting them with teflon plumbers' tape for a secure seal (and you'll probably save money).

The only upside to this hose is that, since it's cheap and lightweight and narrow, it is lighter to carry around. But I'd rather have a quality hose that won't kink every time I pull it out than one I can tote around (how often do you carry the whole hose around, anyway?), so back it went.

Flexon 5/8-Inch by 75-Foot Forever Plus Garden Hose FXG5875 Review

I was strolling through my local warehouse discount store about six months ago and passed by a pallet of garden hoses. Hmmmmm. Could I use one of these? Well, it was 75-feet long and I've always had difficulty with reaching one corner of my small lot. It looked like a good quality hose. It had a fancy handle, or way of attaching it to the faucet, that was billed to be much easier and better. The price was quite reasonable. I couldn't resist. The hose went into the cart. I hate shopping at discount warehouse stores. There's just too many tempting impulse items. I always end up spending much more than intended.

In any case, the hose has proved to be quite good. It reaches from my back faucet to the most remote corner of the yard. The quality, indeed, appears to be quite high. I particularly like the "Flex-Guard" collar, the part that fixes onto the faucet. It works easily and efficiently and is the best connective device I've ever had on any hose. About the only complaint I have about the hose is that it has a propensity to develop kinks rather easily. That can be annoying. It was particularly vexing in the early life of the hose when it had the spiral curves inherited from the rolled coil it was sold in. As it has been used, the kinking problem has lessoned, but it still kinks more than my other hose. All in all, I'd rate it as a very good hose and my cost was quite a bit less than the price cited here, so that made it a good bargain also. It's a welcome addition to my yard and garden supplies. I don't know much about hoses, but I wouldn't hesitate recommending this Flexon Forever Heavy Duty hose.
