EPDM Rubber Garden / Contractor's Water Hose, 5/8" x 100' Review

The fitting leaked on the reinforced end, on the hose side. We purchased this hose for our business since common garden hoses do not survive the
heavy use. A water pressure of around 150psi and a temperature 160F is what
we expose it to. This product looked great in the description and prior to installation. I cannot comment on the performance as ours was defective and could not be used. It could be that such defects are very rare, or it could be that it is a design or manufacturing flaw that may or may not appear immediately.
If any others have experience with this hose, please comment.

PRI Industries that sold us the defective hose offered to have it picked up so they can send it to the manufacturer for warranty inspection.
Unfortunately we cannot wait for this procedure as it is likely to take about a month or so. We ordered another hose from Grainger for about $16.00 more, and to make up for lost time we will pick it up ourselves.
We will attempt to obtain a credit since a replacement will result in our purchasing two hoses when we only need one.

Gilmour 14 Series 4 Ply Reinforced Rubber/Vinyl Hose 5/8 Inch x 75 Feet 14-58075 Black w/Green Stripe Review

I bought this hose in Nov of 2008 and within a couple of months had to replace both ends due to small holes that developed. Then when the temps got hot as they do here in So California the hose would suddenly rupture for absolutely no reason at all. It seems the material this hose is made of doesn't like the heat and softens up too much. I'm now down to about a 40ft hose with a mend in the middle! I have an average sized back yard and use it for the usual stuff like watering plants, hosing down patio furniture, filling up pool, nothing "industrial". Supposedly it has a lifetime warranty. Let's see how that goes!

Apex 8690-75 NeverKink Professional Duty Landscaper 5000 5/8-Inch-by-75-Foot Hose Review

We have a commercial flower farm and with the droughts every summer we have to run literally hundreds of yards of hoses to water our daylillys. Over the years, as we have expanded our beds, we have got hoses from various companies to add to our collection. Sears Rubber,Flexogen,Swan soft and supple, and everything in between. Out of all these hoses I believe the 5000 series Neverkink offers the best balance of flexibility and kink resistance. They appear durable and long lasting also. Its important to follow the instructions when you first uncoil your new hose. I roll it straight and get all the twists out by making sure the stripe is straight. I let it lay that way in the sun for a day and afterwards this hose will not kink in my experience. Amazon has a great deal on these hoses. I'm very happy with mine.

Flexon FR58100 5/8-Inch x 100-Foot 3-Ply Light Duty Garden Hose Review

The hose is fine, pretty good quality actually.But the O-ring was not in the hose.It was loosely attached with a twist tie.I ordered a 15 of these.One was missing the O-ring entirely.The set-up just created more work for me, searching through the boxes looking for O-rings that had come loose.
