Lawson Products 30335 Soaker Ring Review

The soaker ring works well. The trouble is when you try to connect your garden hose to it. The Y fitting that attaches to the garden hose doesn't have a rotating attachment so you must spin the entire soaker ring to attach it to the garden hose. This means you can't wrap it around the tree until AFTER you connect it to the garden hose. I also found that it is difficult to get the Y fitting tight on either end of the soaker hose, so it leaks a little.

If you never want to move the soaker ring to another tree, or put it away, you'll probably like it just fine. But otherwise you will curse every time you try to set it up around another tree.

Swan SNTEC050 50-Feet Sprinkler Hose with Coupled End Review

This hose is cheap and doesn't deliver water evenly.I'm on my second 50' hose and it puddles water at the end and delivers nothing on the upper end.My garden beds are level, so it's the hose.I've been given advice to go with a better pro quality product, such as Fiskars or Osimile (sold by Rittenhouse on Amazon).If I'm going to go through the effort to lay out one of these puppies on a hot day, I want it to be worth it for the long haul. It's worth $20 of my time.

Lawson Products 30310 Soaker Hose Review

These things are great. I was especially impressed because the 50' length of area needing soaking is on a very steep slope, and the soaker hose appears to water fairly evenly over its length. I needed a soaker because the rain water usually just runs off the ground surface without ever getting down to the roots of the plants. So, I buried this soaker hose about 2", mated it with a digital timer for 2 hours every morning, with the spigot valve set for a light flow. Works great! Absolutely no problems. Highly recommended.

Professional Soaker Hose - 50 Foot Length Review

I paid $50 for this while competing products were $20-$30 because I was hoping that it would be longer lasting than typical soaker hoses.It was indeed thick--so much so that it was very difficult to bend.This made putting it in difficult, but with enough massaging I got it into place.I turned it on, and water poured out of the joint nearest the hose bib.This wasn't just a leak--the joint didn't seem to contain any water at all.I was kind of frustrated because it was clear that there was a major gap in quality control, but I was pleased when I contacted the maker (Rittenhouse) and they offered to send a do-it-yourself replacement joint (though only after making it clear that they thought it was not their responsibility).When the new joint arrived, I realized that the new joint was non-rotating, which would make it difficult to screw the hose into the hose bib.I hooked it up, re-bent the hose so it would lie nicely in the garden, and turned it on again.This time, the new joint held, but now water could reach the other (closed) end, where it again poured out as if there was nothing holding it back at all.I tried 4 times to contact the company again, and they did not respond.I finally gave up and threw the hose away.I paid a significant premium for this hose in hopes that it would be well-manufactured (it is made in Canada).However, it turned out to be complete junk, and the customer service was unwilling to fix it.I suggest staying far away from this product and others by Rittenhouse.

Andrews Sprinkler Hose Review

I have used this product before, and can never find it at my local nurseries. It is extremely flexible, and easy to use. The features I enjoy best are that you can change the length of the soaker by removing the end, and putting it wherever you want. Also, you can remove the hose connector, and replace it as well. So, if your soaker develops a leak, you cut it off, and can use the remainder. Try that with another product! I recommend these soakers/sprinklers to anyone who needs fast, adaptable irrigation. I leave them sitting in my beds for use throughout the season.

Sorry, but I have to give this hose a thumbs down.With all of the connectors and attachments, I haven't yet been able to find a combination that doesn't leak horribly--either at the base, or at the handpiece.One almost needs to certainly wear shorts or a bathing suit to use the hose because it's guaranteed you'll get wet while using it.I'd send it back if I hadn't already thrown out the box (still debating, actually).

Professional Soaker Hose - 100 foot length Review

These soaker hoses are fantastic.Twice the width of what I could find at the local hardware stores.I have three hooked together and plan on adding a fourth.I can't speak to how they overwinter but as of yet, I am very pleased so far.They have reduced our water waste and how much time I spend watering the garden drastically.
The shipping is MUCH cheaper through Amazon Prime than through the retailer's website.I saved a small fortune purchasing through Amazon.
As a side note, the hoses are quite stiff when you unravel them.I stretch them out in the yard in the sunshine for a couple of hours or for the day before I thread them through the garden. It makes them much easier to handle.

Liked this hose as it does not spray water through holes like most other hoses. No spray even with water faucet fully on, just slow sweating to wet the ground. Just got it, so have given in 4 stars since longevity is unknown.

Gilmour Water Weeper Hose Review

I have tried various soaker hoses and have never been satified with any of them until I tried this one.I live in a windy location and the soaker hoses would squirt up into the air and blow all over.This hose just weeps and is easily to control with a cheap pressure regulator from WalMart.I like being able to bury it or have it above ground.It is also nice and flexiable. The quality is excellent, much better than any other I have.Recommend this item for anyone who needs a slow steady supply of water on their garden.

Very disappointed... the "hose" has no fittings although it clearly shows them in the photo. When I went back and reread the ad I saw that it said "No fittings, bulk hose only." So, it's not really a hose but rather a vinyl tube with holes in it. What good is that?!?!

Update: It's too bad that I cannot change my rating to 0 stars. This hose is complete junk. It has blown two holes and we've only used it three times. Complete waste of money and time to install. I want a refund!!! Amazon, you should not sell this product!

Several of these have already lasted a full summer for me, and don't have the problems some of the cheaper ones have.The holes haven't expanded in size so they still distribute the water evenly.

You can't go wrong by purchasing a USA-made product these days, hoping to help make our economy stronger.I can tell by comparing this Flexon hose to the last hose I purchased - which also had a Lifetime Warranty but was made by a different hose manufacturer - that this Flexon is made so much better.I have been using it a month and it has not kinked yet.The brass fittings are of superior quality and I like that the coupling is made larger for a better grip when tightening it onto the spigot (see the picture I uploaded).

If you do have an issue with the warranty, it requires you cut off both ends of the hose and mail those 2 pieces back to the manufacturer, along with the defective section of the hose.You will also need your receipt and the piece of cardboard from the hose stating it comes with a lifetime warranty.

This is not labeled as approved for drinking water but it also does not say it contains lead.The warning says:Do not drink from this hose.Garden hoses can come in contact with harmful chemicals sometimes, used with nozzles, garden sprayers or chemicals used on lawns.The inside of the hose is dark, damp, and warm, causing bacteria to form.It is recommended that you run water through the hose until the water is cool before use.

Since I don't drink out of my garden hose, this is a non-issue with me.

Gilmour 27142 50-Foot 3-Tube Flat Sprinkler and Soaker Hose, Green Review

I really liked this hose at first and actually ordered another one.After about 2 weeks of use however, the little holes at the beginning of the hose started getting bigger from the water pressure.Now I have to watch for the position of the hose because it's spraying a much wider area now at that point.I would imagine that those holes will continue to get bigger and then the rest of the hose won't receive enough water to make it useful.
