I had been looking for a source for this device for years having used it at work and was excited when I found it on Amazon.com Hovever, I must say I feel a bit foolish having spent so much on such an obviously overpriced item. I could by several new hoses for the price of this hose repair kit. I was also disappointed in the following:1.The machine requires extensive assembly.
2.The 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch mandrels are not included. This was not clear in the item description.
3.The manufacturer does not provide support for additional hose fittings and parts (What happens when one uses up supplied fittings?)
4.I emailed Gilmour for information on how to order the 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch mandrels but received no reply.
Having spent $231.86 on this item I would expect to receive the 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch mandrels in addition to the 5/8" mandrel and parts and support information. I have not had time to spend assembling this tool so I cannot comment on it's utility yet.
