Gilmour Flexogen Garden Hose Review

I have a small farm and use lots of hoses.Of all I've tried, Gilmour hoses have been the best by far. They have superior, solid fittings; resist kinking the best (of hoses not specifically designed to avoid kinking); and have remained the most pliable with weathering.Best of all is Gilmour's lifetime warranty: should the hose ever fail to perform, just cut off the ends and send them to Gilmour and they'll send you a new hose.I've done this a couple times with no hassle.Other hoses want you to have saved the receipt, original packaging, etc.Who does that?

This really is "the last hose you'll ever buy."

I've used my Orbit Brass Hose Y with Shut-off for just over a month now and I am very pleased. The quality is good and I've had no leaks or any other problems.I looked at my local big box stores and could find no "Hose Y's" of similar quality.I bought another one of these Orbit's today from Amazon to give to my parents.I'd recommend this product to a friend.

Apex 6336-50 Healthy Habitat Eco-Smart and Family Safe 9/16-Inch by 50-Foot Garden Hose Review

If your kid is like my kid they'd rather drink from the hose than just about anything.I bought this with that in mind - it has the best specs of any other "drinking water safe" hose (most just meet FDA standards, this one meets the stricter California standards for about the same price).I really didn't care too much about how well it worked: my kids were mostly going to squirt each other with it, so leaking was not a concern. As it turns out this is the first hose I've bought that doesn't leak at some point. It's also pretty light weight which means my two year old can get in on the squirting action.Like any light weight hose it does kink pretty easily, but again, not really the kind of thing I was concerned about.

If you are looking for something to water your plants with you might want something heavier that kinks less.If weight is an issue then unless you get a "Marine" quality hose you won't find many that are lighter. And if you or your kids drink from the hose, why not pay a few more bucks for one that's a little healthier?(Though again, if weight is an issue most Marine hoses are FDA drinking water approved though they are the most expensive non-commercial hose you can buy).

Plastair SpringHose PUWE625B94H-AMZ 25-Foot 3/8-Inch Polyurethane Coil Garden Hose - Green Review

this green 25 ft and the ocean blue 25 ft Plastair Springhose at the same time, one for the front yard and one for the back. The green one is adequate and the ocean blue one is excellent.Pay the couple extra dollars and get the ocean blue one.Truly.This green one is stiff and does not extend the whole 25 ft.It does the job and recoils fine, but I very much prefer the ocean blue one as it is far more flexible and easier to use.

Suncast HHC150 Garden Hose Hanger with Storage Cabinet And 150-Foot-Hose Capacity Review

I bought one of these about 2 years ago.I now have a place to store my one of my hoses and all my hose attachments in one place. The best thing about this unit is when the cold weather comes it slides up and off to mount in the basement.Searching the web to try and find these cheaper than $9.99.They are worth it.How did I survive without this item.

Gilmour 10-34050 3/4-Inch-by-50-Foot 8-Ply Flexogen Hose Review

This hose is "industrial-strength" and will probably last a lifetime. After going through cheaper hoses I decided to get one that will last, not kink, and can be used with my pressure washer - this one fits all of the above.

I also use them with the Nelson brass impulse head sprinklers (ASIN: B0002IKUGO) - daisychaining sprinklers from multiple hoses - as an alternative solution to an in-ground sprinkling system.

This hose is rated at pressures you may not need (500 PSI), and is constructed to be impervious to just about any chemical or temperature you will encounter in home use. The fittings are solid and mate perfectly with facets (unlike other hoses I've used).

Although these hoses are practically kink-proof, they are somewhat stiff and heavy. For sprinklers and other applications this is not a problem, but for hosing down driveways, etc. they are tiring if you are dragging it over a large area.

I view this hose as a great investment because it may be the only hose you'll ever have to buy.
