Unfortunately, the item I received was defective to the point of uselessness. The nozzle that is screwed into the unit during mfg was misaligned, causing the water stream to be much too high. The stream then missed the adjustment screw, negating the ability to alter the coverage area. From what I could tell, the threads were not misaligned, which points to a flaw in the manufacturing process, but I can't be certain.
The base was solid and the paint job flawless. The heavy rubberized wheels are a nice touch. However, it was a bit lighter than I expected and would prefer a heavier base.My unit also did not contain the filter screen and gasket you see in the picture.I'm not sure if this is a design change or another defect.I thought maybe a compression-type fitting was being used, eliminating the need for the gasket. However, that doesn't explain the missing filter. And based on the issues mentioned above, I didn't play around long enough to find out.I'm familiar with this style sprinkler, but a newbie would surely appreciate directions or at least a diagram.
Overall, pretty darn disappointing.I really wanted to order another one to find out if I just got a bad unit, but with a one-week wait for free shipping, I decided it wasn't worth it.Too bad, the company is based in my home state and I was hoping for a great, reliable product.
