Claber® Metal Gemini Hose Cart Review

Claber® Metal Gemini Hose CartThe manufacturer of the Claber Metal Gemini Hose cart forgot to use metal where it counts most -- the hose connections. I fear after a season, maybe two if I am lucky, this cart will go the way of all of the other plastic carts bought at the home store over the years -- to the landfill. It was made (or at least designed) in Italy, so it looks real cool. Took about 20 minutes to put together. The only assembly instructions were small photographs printed on the side of the box, but it required no tools. With the help of some teflon tape, I was able to stem the leaks at the connection when I first hooked it up, but I don't know for how long. You can't use tools to tighten the connections without risking damage. If it had brass hose connections, I would have no complaints. But my past experience with these plastic connections suggest the Claber won't last. I should have paid closer attention to the fine print. I would recommend spending a few more dollars and going for something more substantially built. If it wasn't such a pain to do, I would take it apart and send it back.
