I thought that the quality would be bit better.The first one I put on, the screw pulled right out from the frame - tossed away.They are basically cheaply and poorly made of a low grade of plastic.They will work if you don't compress the two sides completely together the way they were designed to work.I would not buy these again.I did buy 6 male and 6 female connectors - Anyone want 4 of each?

Claber 8621 Mid 5/8-Inch Garden Hose Repair Kit Review

I purchased this to stop a leak in a 100 foot 5/8 inch garden hose. The product does not come with directions, so it is difficult to know whether it is being correctly used, but one uses a knife to cut out the leaking section, then the Claber 8621 male ends are inserted into the two ends of the undamaged hose from which the bad section has been removed. The Black threaded nuts then are tightened which clamps down over the two ends of hose. The only problem is that although the leak improves, when turned on the water still leaks through the repair kit.I suspect success may vary depending on how well the hose compresses and the water pressure. Overall, I'd say the product helps but does not completely stop the leak.

Wow! I can't say that I've ever got this worked up over a hose repair product... But I am!! These things are probably the best solution to hose repair that I have ever worked with.Very impressive in looks and a design that simply works! Only tool needed was a knife to cut the hose.

Nelson 5/8-Inch and 3/4-Inch Composite Fit Hose Repair, Female 50405 Review

I have 3/4 hoses and have had trouble using Gilmor brass hose menders in the past--they always leaked.All my hoses seem to leak at the male fitting, so I gave this male connector replacement a shot.Less than a minute later it was hooked up and leak-free under normal water pressure.This connector was far easier to use than the screw-clamp type connectors.I'm delighted to have this cheap fix for my hoses now when the connectors start to leak.
